Maggie Grace was born Margaret Grace Denig, September 21 in 1983. Maggie Grace is an American Actress best known as Shannon Rutherford in ABC TV show Lost. Maggie Grace, originally from Worthington located in Ohio left high school in order to move into Los Angeles after her divorced parents divorced. However, in 2001, despite difficulties with money she managed get her first significant part in the web-based video series Rachel's Room playing the main character. The role she played was Kim Mills opposite Liam Neeson (both in Taken the year 2008) on Suburban Girl as well as the Jane Austen Book Club. The role was reprised as Kim Mills in Taken 2 (2012) and Taken 3 (2014).She played the leading role in Alice on Malice in Wonderland a modern take on Lewis Carroll's novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace was Shannon once more in the show's finale and in two additional episodes. The year 2013 saw Grace appear in Californianation, the sixth season. She plays Faith who's a star-gazer and groupie. In recognition of her role as the single mother in Crazy Heart (2009) she received a nomination for Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. Following that she was able to star in comedies along with dramas, such as Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang (2010) Hysteria (2011) as well as Will Not Back Down (12). Her other roles are as an agent for the Secret Service in White House Down 2013. She also appeared as a vocalist in Frank 2014 and as a singer the role of a teacher in The Kindergarten Teacher 2018, where she is the title character. In 2021, Gyllenhaal was able to make her writing and directing debut with the psychological drama The Lost Daughter for which she was awarded the Venice International Film Festival's Best Screenplay Award and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay.
