Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, the daughter of a musician born in Mexico was born into the music-loving parents of her family. The music she grew up with was classic and old boleros, along with the traditional songs of romantics and ranchero. Ana is a lover of opera and tangos, and all dramatic performances. She started singing and studying music with her mother, then began more intense singing training at the age of 16 working with the famous Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. She furthered her training in music at the School of Music of Guadalajara University, and then the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. While a young student and professional, she performed with various chamber groups as well as opera choruses throughout Guadalajara and Mexico City. Following her move to America in the year 2000, she joined the United States in 2000, she sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before moving to her present home in the southern part of California. She currently is a part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and frequently performs solo in traditional Latin American music at private performances. As a musician and teacher she has volunteered for various community-based projects due to her enthusiasm and love for music. Ana is also an ex-member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana loves to sing the traditional Latin American songs and hopes that she can inspire other people to follow in her footsteps.
